The Examination from Academic Session 2023-24onwards would be conducted as per remodeled assessment structure explained below:
For Class I-VIII: Assessment will be in two terms. The Structure of assessment is as follows :
  1. The scheme of examination for classes I to VIII has been designed on Term Assessment basis. There are two terms in these classes as Term-I and Term-II.
  2. There will be one Periodic Written Test of 40 marks/90 minutes in each subject in each term. At the time of result compilation this 40 marks are converted into 5 marks.
  3. 5 marks will be given for Subject Enrichment Activity in each Term. This will include Speaking a Listening Skills in languages, Practical Lab work in Science, Math Lab Practical and Map work & Project Work in Social Science.
  4. 5 Marks will be given for Multiple Assessment in each Term. This will include Oral Test, Quiz, Group/ Individual Assessment, Group Activities as well as Group Assignments.
  5. 5 Marks are reserved for Note Book Correction/Submission in each Term. This will cover regularity in notebook correction, timely assignment completion, neatness and upkeep of notebook.
  6. Half Yearly written examination of 40 marks for classes I-II and 80 marks for classes III-VIII will be conducted in the month of October with syllabus covered till announcement of Half Yearly examination dates by school.
  7. Annual written examination of 40 marks for classes I-II and 80 marks for classes III-VIII will be conducted in the month of March with full syllabus of Term II. For classes VI-VIII some portion of syllabus covered in Term I will also be included in the Annual Examination.

For Class IX-X
  1. There will be three written test (two Periodic Tests of 40 Marks each & Half Yearly of 80 Marks) before the Annual Examination for class IX. Two Pre-Board examinations will be conducted for class X.
  2. Average of the best two written examinations will be taken for final marks submission of PT (weightage of 5 marks for each subject).
  3. 5 marks will be given for Subject Enrichment Activity. This will include Speaking and Listening Skills in languages, Practical Lab work in Science, Math Lab Practical and Map work & Project Work in Social Science.
  4. 5 Marks will be given for Multiple Assessment. This will include Oral Test, Quiz, Group/Individual Assessment, Group Activities as well as Group Assignments.
  5. 5 Marks will be given for Portfolio. A portfolio is a collection of chosen work by a student representing a selection of performances that is collected over time and describes the learner’s efforts, progress, and achievement in key areas.
  6. Annual Examination of 80 marks in each subject covering 100% syllabus will be conducted in the month of March for class IX.
    Students have to secure 33% marks out of overall 100 marks. (PT+ SEA+ MA+ Portfolio+ Annual).
For classes XI & XII:
  1. Two Unit Tests of 40 marks will be conducted in the entire session.
  2. Half Yearly Examination of 100 Marks (Theory + Practical) will be conducted in the month of October. Annual Examination of 100 Marks (Theory + Practical) will be conducted in the month of March for class XI. Students have to secure 33% marks in Theory as well as Practical (separately) for promotion to the higher class. Two Pre-Boards will be conducted for class XII.
